Experience
In 2001, I became a DONA/CAPPA trained Birth Doula and have attended births as a professional labor support person, going on to obtain certification as a Postpartum Doula, providing at home support for the mother following the birth.
In Oct. 2004 I began the 18 month medical massage therapy program at SHI (Self Health Institute) in Lebanon, Ohio, a well regarded and rigorous program, graduating in April, 2006.
In August 2006, I obtained my license, via the State Medical Board of Ohio, to practice massage therapy. I then opened my practice, Luminous Massage Therapy, in a peaceful studio in my home in Northside.
Also in August 2006, I became a Certified Preconception, Prenatal and Postpartum Massage Therapist through the national program "Nurturing The Mother".
